ACADEMIC CALENDAR 2023/2024
It consists of two semesters:
- 2 October 2023 − 22 December 2024
- 8 January 2024 − 28 January 2023
- 26 February 2024 − 27 March 2024
- 3 April 2024 − 16 June 2024
- 2 November 2023
- 2 May 2024 and 31 May 2024
- the Friday in the Kraków students’ feast week (Juwenalia, May 2023)
On the recommendation of the Dean of a faculty and with the approval of the Student Government of the Jagiellonian University the Rector may change the dates of the examination periods as long as all the demands of the curriculum are met.

On the recommendation of the Dean of a faculty and with the approval of the Student Government of the Jagiellonian University the Rector may change the dates of the examination periods as long as all the demands of the curriculum are met.
Remote education is introduced in all fields of study in the period of:
- from October 29 to October 30, 2022
- from November 2 to November 6, 2022
- from December 17, to December 22, 2022
- from January 3, to January 5, 2023
- from January 7, to January 8, 2023
(due to the rationalization of the costs of maintaining and operating the buildings of the Jagiellonian University).
For a valid reason the Dean of a faculty may cancel some or all classes aside for those specified in this calendar.
The Deans are responsible for ensuring that all the demands of the curriculum are duly met. To this end particular e-learning solutions may be used, which are regulated by separate rules and regulations.
